You get a 6.76-inch FHD+ LTPS LCD capable of 144Hz, a 6,000mAh battery, 45W charging, IP68 resistance, a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera and the distinctive Active Matrix Cube built into the rear camera area.

There are trade-offs. The display is LCD rather than AMOLED, the Dimensity 7100 is a mid-range 6nm chip rather than a performance-first platform, and Infinix’s official India specification does not list optical image stabilization or an ultrawide camera. Rivals around ₹23,000–₹30,000 are increasingly aggressive.

Pricing also needs care. Flipkart currently shows the ₹24,999 model with a “Buy at ₹23,749” offer path, while Infinix’s own store advertises a ₹2,000 instant bank discount that could produce ₹22,999 for qualifying transactions. Those are channel- and eligibility-dependent offers, not the normal price.

At the time of publication:

• Flipkart’s live listing shows ₹24,999 and a “Buy at ₹23,749” offer path on the 6GB model.
• Infinix’s own India store advertises a ₹2,000 instant bank discount on major banks, which can mathematically reduce ₹24,999 to ₹22,999 if the transaction qualifies.
• Several launch reports therefore cited ₹22,999 as an effective introductory price.

Is the 8GB model worth ₹3,000 more?

₹27,999 is about 12% more than ₹24,999, yet both India configurations have 128GB storage.

The extra money primarily buys 2GB more physical RAM. Both support Infinix’s MemFusion virtual-memory feature, but virtual RAM uses storage and is not equivalent to additional physical RAM.

For messaging, browsing, streaming, social apps and light gaming, 6GB should be adequate. If you keep many apps open, game heavily or plan to keep the phone for several years, 8GB gives more breathing room. Still, ₹3,000 is a noticeable premium when storage capacity does not increase.

Dimensity 7100: Capable Mid-Range, Not a Gaming Flagship

The Hot 70 Pro uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 7100, a 6nm platform with:

• four Cortex-A78 performance cores up to 2.4GHz;
• four Cortex-A55 efficiency cores up to 2.0GHz;
• Mali-G610 MC2 graphics;
• a Release 16 5G modem rated up to 3.3Gbps at platform level;
• support for LPDDR4X/LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1 at platform level;
• Bluetooth 5.4 and up to Wi-Fi 6 at platform level.

Those last points are chipset capabilities, not promises about this phone. Infinix’s India page lists Wi-Fi 5, and the live Flipkart listing identifies LPDDR4X RAM. Launch coverage lists UFS 2.2 storage.

Infinix claims an AnTuTu score above 780,000 and gaming at up to 90fps in supported titles. Treat both as manufacturer claims until retail units are tested consistently for sustained performance, thermals and throttling.

A 144Hz screen also does not mean games run at 144fps. The display can refresh 144 times per second, while actual frame rate is limited by the game, chipset, graphics settings, thermal conditions and software support.

144Hz Display: Smooth, but It Is LCD

Infinix officially lists a 6.76-inch LTPS LCD at 1080 × 2344 pixels with 45Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz and 144Hz modes. It supports up to 240Hz touch sampling and a 1,500Hz instantaneous touch-sampling figure for supported scenarios.

Brightness is quoted at 760 nits typical and 910 nits HBM on the India page.

The 144Hz mode is useful for scrolling and supported games, but panel technology still matters. Redmi Note 15 SE and iQOO Z10R offer AMOLED near or below this price, so buyers should not let the refresh-rate headline hide the LCD trade-off.

6,000mAh Battery and 45W Charging

A 6,000mAh battery remains large in absolute terms, though late-2026 rivals have pushed much further. India’s POCO X8, for example, carries 9,000mAh.

Infinix lists 45W wired charging and up to 10W reverse charging. Its launch material claims roughly 50% in 25 minutes and a full charge in around 63 minutes for the 6,000mAh version under company test conditions.

Real charge time depends on starting temperature, charger, battery state, ambient conditions and background use. Charging is not linear, so 45W should not be converted directly into a percentage speed advantage over another phone.

Flipkart says the Indian box includes an adapter and USB-C cable. Infinix also advertises bypass charging for heavy plugged-in use. Exact browsing, gaming, 5G and standby endurance still requires independent testing.

Sony IMX882 Camera: Good Sensor Name, Important Caveats

Infinix’s official India specification lists a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera, f/1.79, autofocus and an 81-degree field of view. The front camera is officially listed as 8MP, f/2.0, fixed focus.

The rear supports up to 2K/30 video and 1080p/60; the front supports up to 2K/30.

Two caveats matter.

First, Infinix’s official India specification does not list OIS. Some launch coverage describes the phone as OIS-equipped, but when manufacturer and secondary sources conflict, FrediTech does not present OIS as confirmed.

Second, the official India page does not list an ultrawide camera. That makes the Hot 70 Pro less versatile on paper than phones with a genuine second focal length.

Sony branding alone cannot predict image quality; optics, ISP tuning, HDR, autofocus and stabilization also matter. Daylight, night and moving-subject testing is still required.

Active Matrix Cube: More Than a Decorative LED

The Active Matrix Cube is the phone’s signature hardware feature. Infinix describes it as a small interactive, customizable pixel display integrated into the third circular position of the rear camera-style layout.

Official and launch documentation says it can show:

• call and message notifications;
• charging and low-battery status;
• camera/video/countdown alerts;
• weather information;
• emojis and custom pixel patterns;
• lighting effects during startup, music and gaming;
• simple mini-games.

It is closer to an interactive notification matrix than a simple camera-flash LED.

Face-down notifications and charging status can be useful, while custom patterns add personality. But it remains partly a novelty feature whose long-term value depends on customization and software support. Comparisons with Nothing’s Glyph are inevitable, but the implementation is different.

IP68, Slim Build and Everyday Practicality

At 7.85mm and 204g, the Hot 70 Pro is relatively slim for a 6,000mAh phone. India colors are Silk Glow Purple, Dive Blue, Thermo Orange and Mirage Green.

IP68 is a meaningful advantage at this price. It means tested dust and water resistance under specified laboratory conditions; it does not mean the phone is waterproof.

Infinix’s warranty FAQ says physical and liquid damage are excluded from the one-year handset warranty; accessories get six months. The company advertises 1,100+ service centres. NFC, IR, microSD, USB-C audio, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 5 and a side fingerprint reader are also confirmed.

Software Support Is Good—but POCO Promises More

The phone launches with XOS 16 on Android 16.

Infinix’s official global launch release promises three major Android upgrades and five years of security patches for 6GB-RAM-and-above versions, which includes both Indian configurations. That should theoretically take the phone through Android 19 if delivered as described.

Security-patch frequency is not specified as monthly for the full five years, so do not assume a Pixel-style cadence.

The commitment is strong for Infinix, but POCO X8 and Redmi Note 15 SE both promise four OS upgrades and six years of security updates.

Xiaomi currently lists the Redmi Note 15 SE from around ₹23,999. It offers a 6.77-inch 120Hz curved AMOLED, Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, 5,800mAh battery, 45W charging, 50MP main camera, 20MP selfie camera and four OS updates plus six years of security patches. Its IP65/IP66 protection is weaker than Infinix’s IP68.

The iQOO Z10R is even more challenging for the Hot 70 Pro. iQOO’s store has listed the 8GB/128GB version around ₹22,999, with Dimensity 7400, a 120Hz AMOLED, Sony IMX882 with OIS, 32MP selfie camera, 4K video, IP68/IP69, 5,700mAh and 44W charging.

Compare equivalent RAM/storage configurations because prices and stock change quickly.

Who Should Buy the Hot 70 Pro?

Choose it if you value IP68, distinctive rear notifications, expandable storage, a relatively slim 6,000mAh design and long software support around ₹25,000.

The 6GB/128GB version is the better value for most buyers. Paying ₹3,000 only for 2GB more RAM is harder to justify when rivals offer 8GB, AMOLED or stronger chips around similar money.
