Liquid Themes focus especially on the lock screen and personalization. Vivo has previewed:

Atomic Workbench is one of the most interesting productivity additions.

Vivo’s previews describe it as a multitasking environment capable of running multiple applications together while preserving system responsiveness. Importantly, the company is expanding the concept to conventional candybar smartphones rather than limiting it to larger foldables or tablets.

Vivo has not published model-specific limits, app combinations or minimum RAM requirements. Do not assume every eligible phone gets identical behavior or that all third-party apps support the same multitasking features.

OriginOS 7 Storage Compression 2.0 Explained

Storage Compression 2.0 is one of the easiest features to misunderstand.

Vivo says the new version can reach up to 30% compression in supported data and can free up to about 20GB on a 256GB device under its test conditions.

That does not mean a 256GB phone physically becomes a 276GB phone.

Instead, Vivo is restructuring memory management, recycling and read/write paths while compressing eligible data so the same physical storage can hold more usable content.

Recovered space will depend on file types, app data, free space and compressibility. Until Vivo publishes the methodology, “up to 20GB” remains a manufacturer maximum.

Vivo’s 14%, 19% and 12% Performance Claims

OriginOS 7 introduces a major revision to the Blue River Smooth Engine.

What “14% faster graphics rendering” does not mean

It does not mean games, GPU hardware, frame rates or battery life improve by 14%. Vivo describes Virtual GPU 4.0 as a rendering-pipeline change focused on interface and system rendering, not a blanket gaming uplift.

The 19% page-response figure likewise refers to system/page switching in Vivo’s own test scenarios, not necessarily web-page loading.

Blue River Smooth Engine: Computing, Storage and Display

Vivo describes the OriginOS 7 performance work across three underlying areas.

Computing

An upgraded scheduling system prioritizes tasks that most directly affect what the user is doing on screen. Vivo uses the phrase commonly translated as “unfair scheduling”—meaning important foreground work can receive resources ahead of less-visible background tasks.

Storage

Memory management, recycling strategies and data read/write channels are being reorganized to allow more parallel activity, alongside Storage Compression 2.0.

Display and rendering

Virtual GPU 4.0 restructures the rendering pipeline to reduce CPU/GPU overhead when drawing complex translucent and liquid-style effects.

That is more precise than saying “OriginOS 7 is 14% faster.”

OriginOS 7 Eligible Phones: What Is Actually Confirmed

Vivo has not published the complete stable eligible-device list.

However, the official OriginOS 7 beta program confirms five devices:
